The Mayor, Members of Council, and Town of Whitby staff join the world in expressing heartfelt condolences to the entire Royal Family and the people of the United Kingdom on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Read the full statement issued by the Mayor on September 8.
Residents are invited to share their thoughts, reflections, and memories of The Queen by signing Whitby’s book of condolences digitally (below) or in person at Whitby’s Town Hall (located at 575 Rossland Road East).
All flags will continue to be at half-mast to recognize the passing of The Queen.
Her Majesty will be sorely missed, she was part of our lives for so long, May she Rest in Peace
This Canadian family extends our mournful sorrows and sincere sympathy to His Royal Highness, King Charles 111, and all family members of his Majesty, in the demise of his mother, Her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Elizebeth 11. Our supplication for the repose of her soul in her eternal home with the Creator of all life.
