Did you know that the Town is home to over 200 events each year? From Movies in the Park, to the Brooklin Harvest Festival, to Whitby Lights the Night, and more. Strategic Priority number two of the Special Events Strategy identified the need for the development and delivery of a new, Town-led Signature event that will encourage collaboration between many community groups and reflect the unique attributes of the community. As a community member - we want to hear from you!

Now through Tuesday, March 19, take a short survey about the type of special event you would like to see in Whitby next. The goal: A new event that will be welcoming to all our residents, attract visitors, and reflect the unique identity and culture of the community.

Looking for inspiration? Whitby is home to two historic downtowns, great shopping, over 70 km of trails, two conservation areas, the Port Whitby marina, an amazing waterfront, sand beaches, craft breweries, a delicious culinary scene, world-class golf courses, playgrounds, an art gallery, heritage buildings and museums, a new spa, family-friendly entertainment centre, and an active sports community.

Feedback gathered will be used to develop a new signature special event.

    The Town is looking to create a new festival that celebrates the identity and culture of Whitby and one that will have a great impact on Whitby’s economy– we are looking for your ideas.
