Grass Park Improvements

Construction of Grass Park is now under way and will reopen in early May 2024.

Please note that parking on the south side of the park is temporarily closed. This provides the contractor with space for materials storage as the mature tree canopy within the park requires extensive tree protection measures.

The Grass Park Improvement project is part of the Town of Whitby’s ongoing program intended to restore aging park amenities and improve accessibility.

These are the planned upgrades:

• Widening walkways to make them more accessible
• Replacing pathways, seating, and garden walls

These upgrades will help to improve accessibility for all park users.
