Grass Park Renovation Project: Now Open!

We are excited to announce that the newly renovated Grass Park is open as of early May 2024!

The Grass Park Improvement project is a key part of the Town of Whitby’s ongoing initiative to upgrade aging park facilities and enhance accessibility for all visitors.

Key improvements include:

• Widened Clay Paver Walkways: Designed for better accessibility.
• Enhanced Site Drainage: Featuring new catch basins and trench drainage around the shade shelter.
• Additional Bench Seating
• Custom Granite Features: Including garden walls, edging, bollards, and stairways.
• Natural Stone Elements: Boulders, edging, and flagstone detailing.
• Renovated Planting Areas: Plantings to be completed by the end of May.
• Upgraded Electrical Work: Relocated light standards, stairway lighting, and outlets throughout the park to enhance event spaces.
• Revitalized Shade Shelter: With a new stained surface and LED lighting system.
• New Drinking Fountain
