The Town of Whitby is continuing a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study to explore possible road modifications and improvements along Water Street (in south Whitby), from Brock Street South to South Blair Street.
The study is being undertaken to identify opportunities to:
enhance the corridor experience along the Whitby Waterfront;
accommodate future parking, active transportation, and travel demands within the area; and
address road alignment and drainage deficiencies.
These improvements are part of the Town's ongoing efforts and partnerships to transform the Whitby waterfront into a destination of choice for all to enjoy.

Community Open House (COH) Number 2 presented the Preliminary Preferred Solution for achieving the study’s objectives. The Project Team also presented various alternative road alignments and cross-section concepts to implement the Preferred Solution, and described how these design concepts would be evaluated.
Now, a third and final open house is scheduled to present and seek feedback on the Preliminary Preferred Road Alignment and Cross-section identified based on a technical evaluation. Get involved:
