The Town of Whitby has updated the Whitby Green Standard to Version 2 to encourage more sustainable new development across the Town. It serves as a guide for developers to incorporate sustainability measures into new projects, to make sure these developments contribute positively to the environment and the community. Version 2 of the Whitby Green Standard will be an incentive-based program, designed to recognize and support builders who achieve higher performance levels.

Incentive Program

The Incentive Program is comprised of staff assistance, builder recognition, and a one-year pilot financial incentive supported by funding the Town received through the Housing Accelerator Fund. Details of the program can be found in this summary document.
