Double Duty Superhero

Janet Anderson has been doing double community duty for all of 2020. She is an active volunteer on the events committee at Girls Inc. of Durham, using her extensive marketing background to navigate the switch from in-person to virtual event, making the 2020 Power of the Purse the most successful one to date. All funds raised support the mental health of girls in our community during and following the Covid-19 crisis.

At the same time, she has also been volunteering with the Whitby Caremongers, doing volunteer shopping and deliveries for seniors, helping at food drives, and collecting/delivering for the recent gift card drive, which garnered approximately 600 gift cards for tweens and teens in need this holiday season. Her kindness and patience knows no limit, and we are so lucky to have her in our community. ❤️
