Kindness makes for a happier world!!

Since Covid began, I have been blessed to witness an outpouring of love and kindness from a group called Whitby Caremongers. One volunteer in particular stands out to me. Cindy Cole, a single mom of two fabulous boys, works full time and immediately stepped in to help as many as she could as part of Caremongers and outside of Caremongers. She shops for seniors, she checks in on people and offers to shop for friends and family members while she’s out and about picking up and delivering for others. She’s spreading love and cheer through messages and flowers. My 93 year old mother lives on her own. She’s missing her friends terribly but is uplifted and reminded of the goodness in the world when she receives her beautiful bouquet of flowers at the beginning of every month, for the past year, usually with a card signed “with love from Cindy and the boys”. Cindy does so much more, she’s stepped in to help organize Caremongers events and food drives. She reaches out and organizes help from the other volunteers, taking phone calls and text messages and answering questions or dealing with emergency situations. I know she’s not alone and all the volunteers are going over and above. But Cindy is my friend and I am so proud of her and her kindness throughout this pandemic. I just want her to know how appreciated and loved she is and how much of an impact she is having on all those who know her. A true inspiration and role model!!
