The Town of Whitby launched a project to better understand the current state of diversity, inclusivity and equity in how it delivers services to the community.

The project is called The IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Anti-Racism) Project – Whitby's Journey to Inclusivity. Its goal: to help the Town identify immediate- medium- and long-term steps the municipality can take to improve services for all residents, regardless of age, ability, race or background.

Reporting to Council

A final staff report with the proposed Inclusivity Report will be received at the Committee of the Whole meeting at 7 p.m. on January 17, 2022. This will include feedback from both Phase 1 and 2 engagement opportunities. A copy of the report is available under the documents heading on this page. Residents are invited and encouraged to attend. Tune in at whitby.ca/livestream. You can also register to make a delegation before Council.
