Bringing 1600 strangers together <3

If city of Whitby has a key to give, I'd nominate my neighbor Astrid in Queens Common new subdivision in a heartbeat. You don't hear these kind of stories everyday and I bet it's a rarity anywhere in Canada. We have about 400 or so households in this new subdivision and Astrid is instrumental in bringing these complete stranger together. Thanks to her, most neighbors know evey other neighbors in the area as a first name basis and mutually share anything from ideas to improve the community to safety/look out warning. Not to mention all the group deals we've negotiated since pretty much evey neighbor needed the same services (for the new homes). There are countless times where Astrid would personally reply through a group message any cries for help - no matter how small or big. I'd say it's for her we have a great community today and making the foundation for a greater community tomorrow.
